Ingredients
- 11 can (400 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 21 small carrot, finely grated
- 32 tablespoons tahini
- 41 small garlic clove, optional
- 51 teaspoon ground cumin
- 62 tablespoons flour
- 72 tablespoons olive oil
Method

Heat oven to 200°C/400°F and line a tray.

Pulse chickpeas, carrot, tahini, garlic, cumin and flour until the mixture holds together but is not completely smooth.

Form 18 small flattened balls with damp hands.

Brush with olive oil and bake for 18–20 minutes, turning once.

Cool slightly; the centers should remain soft.
Complete the Meal
Serve with pita, cucumber and yogurt or white-bean dip.
